Equity, Diversity & Inclusion Series - Part 2: Diversity Panel of the Fort Lee Community

Tuesday, December 1, 2020

Join the Fort Lee Public Library for Part 2 of their Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Series: Diversity Panel of the Fort Lee Community on Zoom, Tuesday, December 1 at 7pm. Though a suburban NJ town, Fort Lee boasts a diverse population much like its neighbor, New York City. As per 2019 Census population estimates, Fort Lee’s residents are 49% white, 42% Asian, 14% Hispanic or Latino and 3% black or African American. This array of ethnic groups also creates linguistic and religious diversity. Join FLPL for this panel discussion which will explore all aspects of diversity within the Fort Lee Community, as well as how they intersect. Moderated by Jackie Lue Raia, panelists include: Mayor Mark Sokolich, Dr. Ronald K. Chen, Dr. Jinwon Kim, Rabbi Adina Lewittes, Selaedin Maksut, Dr. Noriko Matsumoto, and Lt. Gregory Williams (Ret). Registration is required for Zoom programs. Please register at http://engagedpatrons.org/EventsExtended.cfm?SiteID=4632&EventID=423070&PK=.
