How to Talk about Race - Having a Meaningful Conversation about Race & Inequality: A Panel Discussion

Wednesday, October 28, 2020

Recent events have shown that race is a topic that has been largely ignored by vast groups of people in the US. Many feel that because they are not racist, nor do they feel the impact of racism personally, that the issue of race is not relevant to them. Our country has a deep history of racism and oppression stemming from slavery, and while some progress has been made, systemic racism still exists. Join the FLPL for this panel discussion which will cover the importance of the current discussion of race in America and provide guidance on how each and every conversation on race can be a meaningful step on a path towards change. Moderated by Jackie Lue Raia, President ALEXENCA Consulting, LLC.; panelists: Taryn Abrahams, Dr. Clarence Lusane and Dr. Michael Sharpe Register at this link: http://engagedpatrons.org/EventsExtended.cfm?SiteID=4632&EventID=418052&PK= PART 2: DIVERSITY PANEL OF THE FORT LEE COMMUNITY - 12/1/20 PART 3: IMPACT OF SOCIAL MEDIA ON RACE RELATIONS - February 20
