Borough Closures (as of 3/18/20)

Here are most recent Borough closures and orders as of 3/18/20 and are subject to immediate change:

- All Borough buildings - including Borough Hall, Fort Lee Police Dept, Fire Prevention Bureau and Building Dept, Dept of Public Works, Public Library, Senior Center, Community Center, Recreation Center, Youth Center and all public schools (including school fields and playgrounds) - are closed to the public until further notice but are staffed and still doing business. Check the homepage of for phone numbers and emails for each respective department. Some Borough services will be limited during this time.

- Parking Authority shuttle service has been suspended, including senior citizen non-emergency medical transport.

- Parks are open for passive recreation only; not congregating. Playgrounds, basketball courts and dog parks are closed.

- Group gatherings in any location should be limited to 50 persons or fewer.

- Movie Theaters, gyms, fitness centers and classes are closed until further notice. Many personal care salons – including barber shops, beauty salons, nail salons, etc. - have made the preemptive decision to be closed so please check with each individual business. Mandates to close will most likely be forthcoming.

- Restaurants and bars are open normal business hours but are limited to take-out service and delivery orders only from 5am-8pm and must adhere to social distancing. Please check with each individual establishment for detailed hours.

- Grocery and food stores, pharmacies, health care facilities, gas stations and banks will remain open for business from 5am-8pm and must adhere to social distancing. Please check with each in individual establishment for detailed hours as many have made the individual choice to close.

- All recreational, non-school sanctioned sport leagues have been suspended until further notice.

- As for a curfew, we are strongly encouraging those who do not need to be out after 8pm to stay home so that those who need to be on the road, such as first responders, can do so easily.
