Parking Authority

The Borough of Fort Lee now works with PayByPhone to let you pay for vehicle parking in seconds. The service can be found at street parking locations and parking lots throughout the Borough. The app is a completely cashless solution, reminds you when your parking session is about to expire, and even lets you extend your parking time from anywhere! PayByPhone is convenient, easy and secure. Find out more info on PayByPhone here!

The following Fort Lee Senior busing programs will resume their services beginning Monday, July 27, 2020:

  • Senior Building Bus

The Fort Lee Parking Authority is a statutory parking agency, established in 1954 by the Fort Lee Mayor and Council under N.J.S. 40:11A. The Borough then had a population of approximately 16,000, as compared to the present population estimated at 38,000. The Parking Authority started with five Commissioners.

Community Involvement

Today, the Parking Authority is involved not only in parking, but over the years at the request of Borough Councils also agreed to:

  • Provide bus transportation to seniors
  • Provide non-emergency medical transportation
  • Provide a main street shuttle for everyone
  • Provide a ferry shuttle service
  • Develop and operate a Residential Parking Program
  • Administer the Borough Street Sweeping Program

Further, it established small off-street parking lots, handicap parking spaces, and is an integral part of the Borough’s Emergency Management Team. All of its services are provided to benefit Fort Lee’s residents and businesses.
