Certified copies of certificates of births, deaths, and marriages, occurring in Fort Lee, can be obtained either by phone or written request at the rate of $25 for the first copy and $2 for each additional copy.
Marriage Licenses
Please call for an appointment to apply for a marriage license. Marriage license applications are taken from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays. The Registrar is also open from 4 to 6 on the first Tuesday of each month by appointment only for marriage licenses. A 72-hour waiting period is required from application to issuance. One applicant must be a resident of Fort Lee. There is a $28 fee.

All dogs and cats over the age of 6 months must be licensed. Renewal of dog and cat licenses are due by January 31 each year. The owner must show proof of rabies vaccination in order to receive a license. A late fee of $10 will be charged by March 1st.

Annual Health Fair
The Fort Lee Health Department conducts an annual Health Fair at the Fort Lee Community Center, which includes numerous health screenings, blood work, influenza and pneumococcal vaccines.

West Nile Virus
Surveillance of the West Nile Virus is through State testing of mosquitoes and recently deceased crows, hawks, and falcons. It is requested that residents advise the Health Department of any dead birds. The Bergen County Mosquito Commission is concentrating on preventing mosquito breeding. Residents are asked to assist by checking their own properties for any items that hold water such as:
Buckets
Tires
Toys
Trash cans
Wheelbarrows, etc.
Either discard them or turn them over so they cannot accumulate standing water.
