Fort Lee Arts & Music Festival: Sunday, June 2, 2013, 11 AM - 6PM, on Main Street between Lemoine and Center Avenues and in the Municipal Lot.

Vendors, crafters, Fort Lee Artist Guild Juried Art Show, food court, Farmer's Market, two stages of free entertainment, Harley Davidson Motorcycle Show, free bounce rides, rock climbing wall, free Palisades Amusement Park photo booth - event is rain or shine. 5th Annual "Run the Palisades" 5K/10K & Health Fair for Diabetes on May 19, 2013

On Sunday, May 19, 2013, the communities of Fort Lee and Cliffside Park, along with the Diabetes Foundation, Inc., will host their Fifth Annual “Run the Palisades” 5K & 10K Run/Walk and Health Fair beginning at Cliffside Park High School.

"Ingredients" film to be screened on May 4, 2013

The Fort Lee Environmental Committee  / Fort Lee Film Commission screening of the film "Ingredients" on May 4, 2013 at 2 PM on the second floor of the Jack Alter Fort Lee Community Center (1355 Inwood Terrace). The film will be followed by a symposium organized by the Fort Lee Environmental Committee. The event is free to the public. The Fort Lee Film Commission and Palisade Interstate Park Present: The Gangs of Fort Lee - April 17th at 7:30 PM at the Fort Lee Historic Park Theatre (Hudson Terrace and Bruce Reynolds Blvd)

This one night film festival celebrates to origins of the gangster film genre born in Fort Lee in 1912 with the DW Griffith directed film The Musketeers of Pig Alley. The Fort Lee Film Commission's Tom Meyers and Palisade Interstate Park Historical Interpreter Eric Nelsen will discuss the seminal role Fort Lee played in the birth of the gangster film. There will be a free screening of the short 1912 film The Musketeers of Pig Alley as well as a rare screening of the 1962 classic Italian film Mafioso directed by Alberto Lattuada and staring Alberto Sordi.The final portions of the film Mafioso were shot in For Lee, West New York and Union City, NJ in addition to the Italian locations.  For further info visit www.fortleefilm.org or call the Fort Lee Film Commission at (201) 693-2763.

Fort Lee Film Commission Presents April 12-14th "Inherit the Wind" Film and Live Play in the Fort Lee Municipal Courtroom

Join us for a free screening of the classic 1960 film Inherit the Wind starring Spencer Tracy - this free screening is on April 12th at 8 PM in the Fort Lee Municipal Courtroom in Borough Hall (309 Main Street). Join us again on April 13th and 14th at 7 PM for a live performance of the stage play Inherit the Wind performed in the Municipal Courtroom in Borough Hall by the Hudson Shakespeare Company - tickets at the door are $10 and $5 for seniors and children. Bergen County Voices of the American Revolution - lecture and book signing on February 23

Revolutionary War lecture & book signing flyerLecture & Book Signing on February 23rd at 2:00 PM at the Fort Lee Historic Park Museum (entrance at Hudson Terrace and Bruce Reynolds Blvd.) The Fort Lee Historical Society and the Palisade Interstate Park will host an illustrated lecture and book signing with two authors, Todd Braisted and Don Hagist, who have made a speciality of uncovering the hidden history of the American Revolution. Don's book is titled British Soldiers American War and Todd's book is titled Bergen County Voices from the American Revolution. The program is free and open to the public. Annual Barrymore Birthday Fundraiser on February 15, 2013

The Fort Lee Film Commission to raise funds for Fort Lee High School Drama Department in celebration of John Barrymore's birthday on February 15, 2013 from 6 PM to 8 PM at In Napoli Restaurant (116 Main Street) in Fort Lee near the site where 18-year-old John Barrymore made his stage debut in 1900 at a Fort Lee Fire House fundraiser / play. Tickets $15 at the door and all funds go towards programs for the students in the Fort Lee High School Drama  Department.  Call (201) 693-2763 for further information.  Event starts with wreath laying at John Barrymore Way sign on corner of Main Street and Central Road opposite In Napoli Restaurant at 6 PM.
