Revolutionary War Living History Weekend
Commemorating the Events of November 1776
Members from over a dozen living history groups will commemorate the 236th Anniversary of the 1776 British Invasion of New Jersey and the start of Washingtons pivotal retreat to victory at Fort Lee Historic Park on Saturday and Sunday, November 17-18, 2012. Re-enactors representing Continentals, Militia, British, Hessian, and Loyalist troops will take part in field and camp activities throughout the day.
Fort Lee Historic Park, on Hudson Terrace in Fort Lee, has added new attractions over the past years, including a replica blockhouse, officers hut, and functioning 32-pounder artillery piece. This is surely an event you do not want to miss!
Schedule of Events
Saturday, November 17th:
10:00 AM: Camps Open to the Public
12:00 Noon: Parade to Monument Park Co-Sponsored by the Fort Lee Borough / Fort Lee Office of Cultural & Heritage Affairs - get to Fort Lee Historic Park on Hudson Terrace and Bruce Reynolds Blvd. by 11:30AM so you can march with the Revolutionary War Reenactors on the actual retreat Route up Main Street that General Washington and his Army used in 1776 - there will be a drill and musket fire and ceremony at Fort Lee's Monument Park (1588 Palisade Avenue) and then free hot cider and donuts in the adjacent Fort Lee Museum on Palisade Avenue prior to the troops returning to the Fort Lee Historic Park.

Sunday, November 18th:
