Riviera Nightclub presentation on December 2, hike to the site on December 4

Riviera Hike

Two upcoming events, presented by the Fort Lee Film Commission, Palisades Interstate Park Commission, and Fort Lee Historical Society, will spotlight the old Riviera Nightclub.

Join the Fort Lee Film Commission, Palisades Interstate Park Commission, and the Fort Lee Historical Society for a program on the old Riviera Nightclub, on Friday, December 2 at 7:00 p.m. at the Fort Lee Historic Park auditorium. Palisades Interstate Park Historical Interpreter Eric Nelsen will be on hand for a slideshow and lecture. Tom Austin, author of the new book "Bill Miller's Riviera: America's Show Place in Fort Lee, New Jersey" will be present to sign copies of his new book. Admission is free, but seating is limited to the first 120. Please call 201-693-2763 for details.

Then on Sunday, December 4 at 1:00 p.m., Mr. Nelsen will lead hikers from the Fort Lee Historic Park lot to the Riviera sites. Meet at the lot (Hudson Terrace immediately south of the George Washington Bridge). The hike is about 2 miles and takes about 1.5 hours, including an optional stroll onto the GWB. Hike is free.
